ISNA hosting the Irish tent as part of the Global Village at Panoply (http://www.artshuntsville.org/our-programs/panoply-arts-festival). We're hoping the weather cooperates this year so we can provide some fun activities for the children!

The Irish Society of North Alabama is very honored to host Paul Gleeson, Consul General of Ireland, Atlanta Mr. Gleeson will be providing a discussion to both the Irish Society of North Alabama and the Father Trecy Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians on the impact of the Irish in the South as well as other topics. It will be a very informative and special evening!

SlipJig, a celtic band, will be performing an intimate unplugged concert in the Maggie McGuinness Pub starting at 7PM. This should be a nice evening and they will likely play some tunes from their newly released CD "Leaving Plevna" which there should be copies available for sale at the concert. It will be a grand time!

Tickets are $10 each with priority given to members of the Irish Society of North Alabama and Father Trecy Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. 10/13-15/2011	ISNA participated in the Heritage Festival at Burritt on the Mountain! Thursday and Friday’s events were for school field trips and we provided educational presentations on Ireland to many many classes as well as had musicians and Irish dancers associated with us performed at larger venues on those days. Saturday’s event was open to the public from 10am-4pm and we provided an Ireland booth and had musicians and Irish dancers associated with us performed at larger venues on those days.

1/28/2012	SOLD OUT - Marc Gunn (www.marcgunn.com) returned for a private concert for ISNA members!! It was on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 7pm at a private venue.
2/25/2012	SOLD OUT: The Whiskey River Kings (a local folk band) performed in the Maggie McGuinness Pub!!! A portion of the proceeds from this special concert supported the Irish Society of North Alabama's costs to put on the Huntsville St. Patick's Day Parade! 3/15/2012	Happy Hour at Amendment XXI: The Irish Society of North Alabama partnered with Amendment XXi and provided a family friendly Happy Hour event that kicked off St. Patrick's weekend. There was Irish food, drinks, dancing and music! The Irish dancers from Fitness Arts Center performed, ;ocal musicians including bagpiper Dave Boling and fiddler Larry Lynch performed a traditional Irish music session, and Bourbon and Shamrocks played.
